So a lot of people have been questioning me about my change of lifestyle; in my eating habits and subsequently a lot of things that are tied with it. I have to admit, I used to be a carnivore because of my korean family, meat is almost a culture - and I've always depended my source of strength in them. This documentary changed my life on the perspective on meat-eating, livestock cattle ranching and its negative impacts it imposes on the environment, to hear that it take five hundred gallons of water just to make one pound of beef, shook me.
It's terrifying that the truth, is indeed stranger than fiction - this documentary showed me the reality of animal agriculture and the secrets of environmental well-being, left unsaid. The first time I watched it, I wept watching a duck getting slaughtered - it could be a little visual but I knew that there were millions of slaughtering going on around the world, and that this is very real, and pervasive.
Impact on pollution, climate change, depletion of planet's resources and your own health. I'm starting small, and keeping it gradual and soon be able to make a change. Please do watch it if you do care about the environment
